Algeria wants to expand EUCOCO to other continents

Algeria wishes to open the round table of the network of European associations of solidarity with the Polisario to other continents. An ambition expressed by the President of the Council of the Nation (Upper House of the Algerian Parliament), Salah Goudjil, in a speech read on his behalf by Miloud Hanafi, President of the Economic and Financial Affairs Commission, during the 47th edition of the “European Conference of Solidarity and Support for the Sahrawi People (EUCOCO)”, organized on December 1 and 2 in Toledo.

The proposal aims to “denounce the colonial practices of the occupying state and contain disinformation”. The parliamentarian recalled that President Abdelmadjid Tebboune had affirmed that his country “will never abandon Western Sahara, whatever the price”. And to add that “Algeria will not stop supporting the just Sahrawi cause until the Sahrawi people regain full sovereignty over their lands and their wealth.”

The 47th edition of EUCOCO was attended by 24 Algerian parliamentarians. Algeria has already promised the Polisario, in mid-November, to reactivate the “international parliamentary network in support of the self-determination of Western Sahara”.
