Towards a potential coalition of the Cameroonian opposition with a view to the 2025 presidential election: a step towards political alternation?

In recent months, a potential coalition of the Cameroonian opposition for the 2025 presidential election has been taking shape, with leaders such as Jean Michel Nintcheu, Cabral Libii and Samuel Billong expressing their support for this idea.

This coalition aims to achieve a peaceful and inclusive political alternation, and discussions on the details of this possible coalition are planned during the ordinary congress of Cabral Libii's party in December 2023.

Additionally, seven political parties have already formed a platform to propose improvements to Cameroon's electoral system, which could be a step towards a single opposition candidacy in 2025.
