Djibouti: 7 victims following a terrorist attack at the Garabtissan military camp

In Djibouti, the military camp located in Garabtissan, base of the Tadjourah regiment, was attacked on the night of October 6 to 7, 2022. According to the Ministry of Defense of Djibouti, this violent attack was claimed by the armed rebel group Front for the restoration of unity and democracy (FRUD). Since 2015, this is the first violent attack attributed to the FRUD in Djibouti. President Ismail Omar Guelleh condemned the attack, describing the armed FRUD as a terrorist group.
