The Egyptian football team has validated its place for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations after a convincing victory against Guinea. Despite a difficult start, Egypt bounced back to finally win 2-1.

A bitter struggle on the ground

Guinea led early in the game, but Egypt managed to turn the situation around thanks to goals from Trézéguet and Mostafa Mohamed. The Pharaohs showed excellent game management and confirmed their place at CAN 2023.

Next steps for Guinea

Guinea, although having lost, remains in a good position to qualify. The Syli National need a single point to join Egypt and can hope for qualification in the next game against Malawi.
