Philippe Mbarga Mboa, minister in charge of missions at the presidency of the Republic of Cameroon, returned to his country after having been abroad for medical treatment since November 2022. The minister, also a banker by training, had suffered a cardiovascular accident in November 2022 which had forced him to be interned in the central hospital of Yaoundé before his departure for foreign countries. Mboa, who was in charge of missions to the presidency of the Republic from August 22, 2002 to December 8, 2004, is frequently mentioned in connection with the controversial breach of contract between the Cameroon Football Federation and The Coq Sportif.
