Recruitment for Field Agents, BEACAM is a civic association in partnership with a non-profit organization. As part of its oral genealogy project in Cameroon aimed at:

to preserve and constitute a good archive of our ancestors; to create a bridge for genealogical research through those who are living; to provide villages and living people with a written archive of their heritage and finally to preserve the oral traditions of our villages.

BEACAM recruits committed people, of good character who will work as Fieldworker as part of the oral genealogy project in the various departments and villages of the Center region.

PURPOSE OF POSTS – Field Agent (05)

• Collect genealogical data from informants in the villages
• Conduct interviews via android phone
• Check the accuracy of the data collected via the telephone and the collection sheet

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Well versed in the culture and traditions of the Central region
• Have a team spirit
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
• Very good writing and record keeping skills
• Ability to work under pressure *Good attention to detail, learn quickly and must be in good health
• Have a solution-oriented brain.
• Must not have any other commitment with an institution
• Have an Android phone equipped with the localization system (GPS) (preferable)
• Be willing to travel and temporarily reside in the villages of assignment
