[Fact-checking] After the broadcast of a video showing the Marines in the middle of a crowd celebrating the fall of President Alpha Condé, rumors swell about their possible participation in the putsch. Washington formally denies.
The video is only 36 seconds long, but it was enough to circulate the wildest rumors about the role played by Westerners - France and the United States on the front line -, in the fall of Guinean President Alpha Condé, last September 5.
In this content revealed on Twitter by local media aConakry Live, and which counts nearly 100 views, we see at least three American soldiers, identifiable by their uniforms flocked with the star-spangled banner. These three men appear escorted by Guinean soldiers in uniform, arms in hand, whose faces are sometimes hidden by a khaki hood.
