Bordeaux received the RC Lens this Sunday, as part of the 5e Ligue 1 day. The only Cameroonian on the lawn of the Matmut Atlantique stadium, Jean Onana scored a goal for the Girondins, beaten 2-3.
Sometimes on the sidelines, sometimes not in the team, Jean Onana played his first match of the season in Ligue 1 this Sunday. The Cameroonian midfielder and his club, the Girondins de Bordeaux received the RC Lens by Ignatius Ganago, absent from the list. The duel of Indomitable Lions therefore did not take place.
However, the meeting started very well for the Lensois. Deprived of their number 9, yet back from a stay with the Cameroon national team, Gaël Kakuta (39e) and Medina (43e) allowed visitors to lead 0-2 before the break. Back from the locker room, Mangas reduced the score (60e, 1-2) and Jean Onana then equalized (88e, 2-2). But the joy of the Cameroonian midfielder was short-lived ; since in additional time, the RC Lens benefited from a penalty converted by Sotoca (90e+5, 2-3). Ignatius Ganago's partners therefore revive, after the 2-2 draw against Lorient, while Bordeaux brings to 5, its series of games without victories in Ligue 1.
