Nigerian EndSARS panel "inundated with many cases"

Nigeria's Lagos State Judicial Panel to Examine Abuse Charges Against Members of the Former Special Brigade Theft (Sars) started his second day of sitting.

Panel chairwoman Doris Okuwobi said they had been "inundated with so many cases and the panel needed to go screw».

The panel was also asked to investigate what happened last week at the Lekki tollgate, where Amnesty International said protesters had been shot dead by the Nigerian army and the Nigerian police.

The panel was set up to hear cases of police brutality by the disbanded Sars unit.

His formation took place after weeks deadly protests calling for major reforms.
