The promoters of shows played in large amphitheatres have increased in recent months the price of seats at the edge of an aisle in some rooms. This is particularly the case for fans of Megadeth who will buy their tickets for upcoming concerts in Laval and Quebec City next October: these seats will cost up to $ 20 extra, and sometimes more.

An article published in the Journal de Montréal this week reveals that by analyzing the data on the sale of their shows, the promoters noted that the seats at the end of the rows flew away faster than the others. According to the information obtained, the promoters of the Megadeth show are not the only ones to get money from these "privileges" offered in these performance halls: the upcoming concerts of Black Keys, Slipknot et Journey also sell what is called "aisle supply".

Ticketmaster's online ticket office advertises the package as follows: “Choose from the best aisle seats available and enjoy the convenience of easy access to refreshments, restrooms and site exits. "

For the show " Knotfest Roadshow ", With Slipknot, A Day To Remember, Underoath et Orange Code (Bell Center, June 5, 2020), the first two aisle seats in section 100 sell for $ 139,50, while tickets for the middle seats are $ 118,50.

According to promoters of the entertainment industry, this type of offer will gain popularity in the coming years.
